Dr M Venkateswara Rao was born on July 28th 1964 to Shri. Kondabbai and Smt: Godavaramma. He finished his schooling at BPM High School and attended MR College. He did his under graduation in the prestigious Andhra Medical College and post-graduation in Rangaraya Medical College with a gold medal in pediatrics. He started a clinic and gradually established a 100 bedded tertiary care mother and child hospital, which is now recognized by IAP, NNF, NBE and is currently a DNB institute for Pediatrics and also offers Fellowship in Neonatology. He was a budding philanthropist and soon found Rotary the perfect platform. He began his rotary career in 2000 from Vizianagaram main club. He did his presidentship in 2010-11 during which he organized vocational training blood donation camps and many other activities He has donated blood 61 times and counting He has received a total of 24 awards including Golden President award and Service Above Self awards during his presidentship. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member, Benefactor, 3rd level major donor and endowment donor. Over his span of his career, he has received numerous awards for his service. He received the Covid Warrior award for best services in Covid-19 pandemic, Haritha Mithra  Award for 2 consecutive years (2019-2021), Best Chairman award for Polio fund raising, which raised 1,00,000 US Dollars during 2018-19 which is the highest among all rotary districts in India. He received Data Guru Award from the State government of AP Vocational excellence award. Rotary Vocational Service Leadership Award during 2015-16 from Rotary International He served as president in District Indian Medical Association. Indian Academy of Pediatrics and Forum for Better Vizianagaram. He iis the joint secretary of AP state International Human Rights Council. He also contributed to many societies and temples and held multiple honorary positions in various service organizations. Currently, he s the president of IAP AP state infectious diseases chapter. He has his own YouTube channel where he has made over 250 educational videos creating public health awareness especially regarding COVID with lakhs of views. He plays badminton and table tennis and is an avid reader. He married Dr. Padmakumari, an Obstetrician, who herself is a fellow Rotarian, Paul Harris Fellow, Major donor endowment fund donor, past president of Vizianagaram main rotary club (2015-16) and Assistant Governor of District 3020 (2017-18) They are blessed with 2 children Dr Sindhu Rao and Dr. Hari Siddardha, whareo al so rotarianansd Paul Harris Follows.
